Curriculum
At Woodsetts Primary School our aim is to give our learners the knowledge, skills and authentic experiences to better understand the world around us, the opportunities it may provide and the aspiration to contribute to and change the world around them. We also feel it is important to have a good understanding of our local context and how we can all contribute to life in Woodsetts. We have used the National Curriculum as the basis for our curriculum but then tailored this to the needs and interests of our children.
On the following pages we hope to set out key information about our curriculum intent, how we implement it and detailed information about each subject area. Please use the navigation bar at the top of this page to access these. You can also access the year overviews for each year group in the files below.
Should you require any further information about our curriculum, please do not hesitate to contact us at school and we would be happy to help.
Our whole school curriculum is built on our PSHE Pillars. Here is our curriculum overview for Woodsetts:
This is by no means the entirety of our curriculum but shows how the PSHE Pillars underpin the novels we choose, link in with the humanities and science.
More information including overviews for each year group can be found below.
