This will be recorded and shared as ' School of the week' on Hallam FM's Breakfast Show between 6am and 10am commencing 6th March 2017!
Such a resource will allow us to access additional classroom space, a novel learning environment and will also provide pupils with the "treat" of being allowed to study in the vehicle.
If you can help, please call the office on 01909 550758 with your details.
We are pleased to let you know that Woodsetts Primary School is moving to an online only payments system in the Autumn Term 2016, which you will use to pay for all school trips, events, clubs and other school activities. We hope that you will find paying in this way is much more convenient and, from our perspective, it will save us time as well as reduce the chances of money being lost or stolen.
Woodsetts Primary School students recently visited the Bloodhound Project exhibit at Magna. The Project centres on BLOODHOUND SSC, a supersonic car that is designed not only to go faster than the speed of sound (supersonic) but to over 1,000mph (1,600km/h)!
During the day, pupils and students toured the full size Bloodhound Show Car and understood the design challenges and science that goes into building a supersonic car. They designed and built their own air-powered rocket cars using K’nex which they tested, modified and then raced in teams. The fastest cars went through to the finals. Below is a message from Mike Ford of the Bloodhound team congratulating one of Woodsetts Primary's teams on their prize of getting their team name on the tail fin of the car! Class 3 at Woodsetts Primary School performed with a group of other schools to piece together one of Shakespeare's classic plays 'Macbeth'.

Question of the Week
W/C 10th July 2017
How do you feel when you want something very badly and you cannot have it? Why is this so important to have?
(To support and encourage the children's understanding of their own thoughts and opinions, linked to life, national and global affairs, we give the children a weekly title to research and write about in their own or school time. Once a week during school time the children are given the opportunity to complete this task in a writing journal. For children who want to explore this further at home with family and friend we give prizes.)
